The Seven Dimensions of Human Greatness
Educating for human greatness is a paradigm shift in education developed by a group of master educators. Teachers perform as highly skilled professionals, using their knowledge, sensitivity , love, and creativity to meet the needs of individual students, helping them become positive contributors, growing in seven dimensions of human greatness:
1. Identity- Developing unique talents, gifts, interests, and abilities. Fostering a sense of self-worth.
2. Inquiry- Cultivating a curiosity and the ability to ask important questions. Fostering a sense of possibility.
3. Interaction- Promoting courtesy, caring, communication, and cooperation. Fostering a sense of community.
4. Initiative- Fostering self-directing learning, autonomy, self-confidence and will power. Fostering empowerment.
5. Imagination- Nurturing creativity in all of its many forms. Fostering a sense of wonder.
6. Intuition- Developing emotional intelligence, the sixth sense. Fostering heart and mind connection.
7. Integrity- Developing honesty, character, morality, humility, and responsibility for self. Fostering accountability.
The seven dimensions are woven into all of our work at Inside Outside School and is embedded into our community culture. To find out more, we encourage parents and educators to check out the following book:
